Project updates

So far this year we have admitted around 420 casualty foxes, including 230 cubs. In 2013 we took in just under 550 casualties – a considerably lower number than usual, which reflects our perceived drop in fox numbers in the south east. ¬†Fox, badger and rabbit numbers, in particular, being burrowing animals, were hard hit by the wet 2013 spring and it looks worryingly as if 2014’s late winter weather will have had a similar effect.

Moving to Broadwater Forest Wildlife Hospital has improved our operations considerably over the past two and a half years and is still developing as funds permit.
